BIRDS, RAIN AND SPLIT PANTS, OH MY…

Standard

The birdies are adjusting to living with us. They are getting used to the kiddies and the husband, but they still don’t think that much of me. And once again there is NO love lost. I don’t hate them, nor do I pick on them, I just stay away from them. They don’t do nothing for me. When I get close to the cage Feathers bites at me. I was dusting furniture near the cage the other day and she is biting at the cage to get at me. Dixie just turns his back to me. It is pretty hilarious. The husband LOVES the birds. He talks to them, lets them out of the cage, cleans the cage and bathes them. The boy loves playing with them. The oldest is not overly fond of them. She talks to them but not a whole lot. But those birds absolutely love Sissy. When we have Bible Read Aloud in the morning during school, as she is reading they both go to the side of the cage that is closes to her and then Dixie starts talking back to her. When she stops, Dixie stops and when she starts back up, he starts talking back to her. It is quite cute and funny.
It is still raining and the Wabash River is up. We are suppose to get 2 more inches today. Along with Thunder Storms. Yep, storms in January, middle of Winter.
I asked the husband the other day if he would get up the trash on the floor. As he bent over, he stopped and said loudly “WHAT?” I turned as asked “What’s wrong?” He said “My pants just split” Sissy and I CRACKED up. Because the husband has NO butt! So how in the world could he have split his pants? We tease him all the time and tell him he has a tail bone with skin over it and nothing else. Sissy said “Man, Dad your bone must be very SHARP’. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA….
