Eleven years ago I awoke with a major tooth ache. I was 38 weeks pregnant and called my dentist to see if he could check out this tooth. Around 8:00 am I started having contractions, minor, nothing major. The dentist said he could get me in at 10:00. By that time, the contractions were coming every 7 minutes. The dentist was a nervous wreck and kept apologizing. He hurried as fast as he could and fixed my tooth. Afterwards, we called my doctor and she said to head over to the hospital. She ran some test on me and found out I had UTI, Yeast Infection, Bladder Infection and had a slight temperature. Around 4:00, she made the decision to deliver this baby Cesarian because of the infections. She wheeled me into the delivery room and the oldest girlie was born 4:34 pm. I was terrified of the epidural, big sheet blocking me from the delivery and not realizing when I had thrown up. But the girlie came out so peaceful, even when the doctor patted her to make her breath. She let out a little cry. She was so pretty. One hour later, my room filled up with nurses and doctors rushing around cleaning me up. I was bleeding uncontrollably. They had forgotten that I was a redhead and that happens. They started prepping me to go get a blood transfusion. I was crying because I was scared. My Pastor started praying and called our church members and had them to start praying. Five minutes later, my doctor came in and “checked” me one last time. I had stopped bleeding. And everything had healed up. :”) That is NO surprise because God can do anything. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days and then headed home with my baby girl. She has lost her little girl look and has gotten that developing teenager look. We started celebrating this past Friday. We took her to IHOP for breakfast. And then we went shopping. Her taste and mine are starting to differ. I think she looks beautiful in one outfit, she thinks another looks better. :”) She had her eye on a video camera until she saw this one outfit that “Mom, I can’t live without that” statement came out. She kept her calculator handy and took her time and thought things out and bought more for her buck. Was SO happy for her, because girl didn’t always think like this. She was always “When I grow up, I am spend money on expensive clothes and fancy restaurants.” She got name brand items, they just were on sale. Saturday, she wanted McDonald”s for lunch. On Monday, we went shopping again at Target & Cato’s. She was able to get 3 outfits. This morning we got dressed up and went to the Country Club for breakfast. She used her “good” table manners and acted like a princess. :”) She is totally stoked because she can now set in the front passenger seat.
