The boy, the oldest and I are headed to the beach 4 am tomorrow. Whoohoo….!! Our former Pastors are in Va Beach now, and they are having a Youth Rally and we were invited to come. We went into major fundraising mode and got all the money raised to go. It will be a 14 hour trip for us, UUGH! We were asked “Why in the world are you traveling so far for just 3 services?” Because we care about our young people. We care about what they are faced with each and every day. We want them to see there are other young people who are trying to make good choices and serving the Lord. We are willing to give up our weekend and energy to travel 14 hours so that they can get touch from the Lord and become a different person. This is the oldest daughter first trip and she is pumped. We will be sharing a room together and she is so excited. The old bones are not ready for a 14 hour trip, but the spirit is. You know the old saying, “The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak” HaHa…so true.
